Just finished and this was a great entry. Good mix of building, fighting, character growth, etc... I love how few errors are present, and enjoy the fact your books are pretty PG/PG-13. Excited for more.

One of my proofers is my 14 yr old daughter (my wife reads it to her, it's easier to pick up errors when reading more slowly like that) so the pg/pg-13 is kind of due to that. I'd worry more about the cursing, but some days I think she'd fit right in with sailors on leave the way she curses herself.

I just picked the first book up. When they meet the group with "the Karen" Mark mentions letting Al talk to the new group. Who is Al? I can't remember ever meeting this person. crpgnut
ReplyDeleteAl was one of the earlier people that showed up to join the Safe Zone after it was created. One who'd been a gamer and who was assigned the task of explaining what they knew of the System to anyone coming into the Safe Zone that might not know anything about it. He was introduced back in chapter 9.

DeleteDoing our best for the holidays here. Book #6 is almost finished being written, then will need proofing and editing. I'd originally hoped for the beginning of January for a release, but it looks more like mid-end of January right now. It is coming though.
