  1. Hi Tom. Reading the Light Online series and enjoying it -thanks! Any chance of a Meadowlands map being included in any of them? It's growing fast and I'm struggling to keep the layout in my head (and for some reason that bothers me). Enjoy your writing :)

    1. Hi,

I've actually considered it, but I've yet to find a program that will allow me to easily do it myself. I'd prefer not to hire an artist for it because it would need to keep being updated as the story continues. So, if I do manage to find a program that will allow me to generate a map that I can use in the books it will happen.

Admittedly, I'm currently spending more time writing book #3 than looking for a map creation program, but at the least there'll be a lengthy pause for me while the editor has the book and I can search again then.

  2. Totally understandable, and I also have a strong interest in Book 3 being completed ;) Glad to hear it's somewhere on the list anyway.

  3. Very much enjoyed first two books in the series. Is there an ETA for book 3?

  4. I recently purchased Book 1 but ended up returning it. The formatting when I opened the ebook had a line space between paragraphs, which I find extremely annoying because I read on the small screen of my phone. Since the Look Inside did not show this formatting, I thought this might be a mistake that you'd like to know about.

    Thanks.

  7. Thank you Tom. I have found your Light Online series to be very fun and entertaining. You have a great use of your charters throughout the books. This has ensured that the adventuring group is well rounded and the needed roles are covered well. Can't wait for the 3rd book.
Other than a few misplaced words or type-o's they are easy and fun to read. This is to be expected from most Indy writers that do their own publishing. Once you have written something and you know what you want it to say; it is easy to see the word "this" even though the actually typed word is "them".

Keep up the great work and please provide an ETA on book three once you have one!!

  8. Hi love your book. Found a spelling error. Was hoping to forward on your Facebook like I do with others but you don’t have one I can find. So in book 2 of light online found this “ selling all different kids of garden seeds,” I think that should be kind

    1. Thanks for letting me know about that. sorry for slow reply, most of my time is going in to getting the third book in the series out on schedule. I changed it in the manuscript and when I upload again (after I publish the third and have a link for it) it'll be in the updated book.

  9. Big fan of both this series and the Crow Hill series. Really looking forward to #3 for Light Online but wouldn't mind a #4 for Crow Hill either. :)

  10. Glad you're enjoying them both. My writing plans are as follows: Finish the Light Online series (book #3 should be out in March barring delays with the editor, book #4 in June, Book #5 in September) and after finishing the series, do the next Crow Hill book (hopefully out in December). If I can keep up with my planned schedule, all four of those books should be out before the end of this year.

  11. That's fantastic. Also wanted to say that I'm glad you do Kindle Unlimited. That's where I first discovered you and decided that your books were definitely worth buying outright.

    1. I use KU myself (I go through an awful lot of books) so I will definitely keep all my books in KU if I can. I know some Litrpg authors reported having problems with it a while back, but I hadn't heard anything of the sort lately. So long as I don't run into those problems myself, I'll keep publishing everything in Kindle Unlimited.

  13. Can I make a request for a map of the valley. I am starting to get confused as to where the smithy is, the farm, the temple, the inn, the fortress, Kyle's place, etc

    1. Probably won't be in book #3 as that's just about ready to go to the editor now and I'd rather not delay it. I'll try to get one in book four though. I've found a mapping program that will allow me to use the end result in my books without further licensing than the original purchase. Once I do have it I'll need some time with it to familiarize myself with the program and I don't want to delay the release of book #3.

    2. That would be awesome if we had a map. A couple of options, if there is time, is perhaps if one of the loyal readers had the skills to use the mapping tool, they could create one for you quickly based off a rough draft. Then you can just have it added to the first page of the book.
If that is not an option, I am happy to wait for book 4.
      Thanks

  14. Just tried to get Book #2 of Light Online but Amazon said it was no longer available as there were issues with the source file from the publisher. Any idea when this will be resolved. I really loved #1 and I don't want to skip #2 before reading #3.

  15. Amazon was requesting some changes to the manuscript, but hadn't emailed me about it, they just suppressed the book and put a note in my KDP account. I've made the changes and resubmitted the manuscript. Hopefully it will be back up soon.

    1. The changes went live some time this evening in the past couple of hours. The book should be available again at this time.

Sorry for the delay. I did my changes as fast as possible, but it took a bit for Amazon to verify them and set it live again.
